From Stoneham, Shawn graduated from Stoneham High School and then attended Anna Maria College. He then graduated with a degree in education. Some of Shawn’s achievements include a Middlesex League All-Star in High School and a career .400 batting average. In college, Shawn played on Anna Maria’s record-breaking team for wins in a season and was a member of the 2010 ECAC Championship team. After completing his undergraduate degree, he continued his studies in Special Education at Anna Maria College and graduated in 2015 with an M.Ed. While completing his master’s degree Shawn was an assistant coach on The Anna Maria College baseball team for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Coach Secondini is currently a Special Education Teacher at SEEM Collaborative in Stoneham. His coaching career includes 2 seasons as Malden Catholic’s JV coach 2016-2018, 4 years as Danvers High School's head Varsity coach, and is now currently The Head Varsity Coach at Stoneham High School and also a head Coach for the Northeast Canes. Some of Shawn’s head coaching achievements include the 2021 North D2 semifinals and 2022 NEC conference champions. This past season Shawn was named a Coach for MBCA Senior all-star game.
